Commercial EICR
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the safety of an existing electrical installation against current wiring regulations. For landlords, it's a legal requirement — rental properties in England must have a valid EICR at least every five years. For commercial property owners, it's the standard way to demonstrate a building's electrical installation is safe and compliant.
An EICR is typically required when a tenancy changes, a lease is renewed, an insurer requests evidence of compliance, or simply because the existing certificate is due to expire. If you're not sure when your last EICR was carried out or whether it's still valid, that's worth checking before it becomes an urgent issue.
